Ben Franklin Library in Mazatlan, Mexico

Ben Franklin Library in Mazatlán, SI can be quite helpful for those English-speaking visitors who need a good book to read in their own native language. Located in downtown Mazatlán in the Sinaloa province of Mexico, this library is also housed near the large Mazatlán public library. It is in the picturesque area of Plaza de los Leones, known in English terms as Lions Square.

This Plaza de los Leones is a great place to relax, study and read when you want to kick back. Both the buildings as well as the trees offer shade and in fact draw visitors and students alike. The two stone lions at the entrance of the Benjamin Franklin Library and the Mazatlán public library act as guards.

The Benjamin Franklin Library is one of the few places in the area where English language books can be checked out and read. It is run under the sponsorship of the United States Information Service, also known as USIS. Hours typically follow those of the Mazatlán public library. They are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays the library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. On Sundays, Sabbath day, the library is closed.
