Labor Day Weekend in Mammoth Mountain, California

Mammoth Mountain is probably best known for it???s famous Mammoth Mountain Ski area. Located in Mono County, California the area offers more than just skiing. In the fall every year for the past thirty eight years Mammoth Mountain celebrates the Labor Day Festival of Arts. You will find yourself lost in the abundance of art booths, a massive food court which offers everything from Thai to traditional BBQ which you can enjoy with a sample of beer from the Mammoth Brewing Company and be treated to a traditional Native American village. Make sure that you also sample the many wines that are offered at different wine booths. The festival is usually a three day event, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy all of the activities. Make sure that you also visit the scenic trails which offer both hiking and biking excursions. There are quite a few quaint hotels to pick from in the town of Mammoth Lakes or perhaps you can rough it with nature by pitching a tent.
