Enjoy the excitement and the thunder sounding from the pavement as thousands of runners cross the bridge for the Annual Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Race. Bring the family and enjoy the festivities, with racer check-in times Friday night and Saturday morning starting at 4:30 a.m. For those joining the race, expect a steady incline in the beginning of the 5.6 mile course. Beginning points are at the north end of the bridge in the Bridgeview Park and transportation to the starting line from Mackinaw City is provided. The top three finish times will be rewarded with trophies and all other participants will be given medals.
There is an entry fee for this event, which includes breakfast served around 8:45 a.m. and pre-registration is required as there are a limited amount of spaces available. Join the crowd for this day whether it is just to observe the energy or to join in the activity with a total of 1400 runners.
