Getting past the interesting name of this popular eating establishment brings the customer to one of the best places to grab a bite in Ludlow, Vermont. Featuring what most customers state is truly "wicked good pizza" the shop also offers salads, pasta, wings and more.
With roots in New York, Wicked Good Pizza brings New York, Italian-style pizza and calzones to this beautiful and historic section of the United States. Founded in 1996, Wicked Good Pizza grew from a small, local shop to a busy specialty restaurant that is a favorite stop for locals and tourists alike. One of the keys to success was the changing of pizza recipes. In addition, the new owners remodelled, then eventually expanded.
Because of the growth in popularity of the Okemo ski/vacation area, Wicked Good Pizza also grew, eventually moving to a larger space that seemed to fit the restaurant's needs. The pizza specialty restaurant is now located in the former Lowell G. Hammond home.
Wicked Good Pizza staff makes salads fresh every day, in addition to creating their own meatballs for pizza and subs. All the sauce used in the restaurant recipes is made in house. A unique three-flour recipe is used to make the one-of-a-kind crust. In the decade since expansion, Wicked Good Pizza has built a reputation on quality food and great service. It doesn't hurt that the regional beers served are ice cold, or that only whole milk is used in the cheese. The restaurant serves indoors in a comfortable atmosphere or at a few outdoor tables, weather permitting. Reservations not accepted. Credit cards not accepted.
