Just one mile from the Okemo Valley resort, near Ludlow, Vermont, the Okemo Valley Nordic Center has a well-maintained trail network for cross-country skiing and snowshoe travel. The hillside and meadow terrain are also the site of 8 kilometers of skating lanes. These amenities and the attention to outdoor enjoyment draw people by the hundreds.
The center provides guided tours and lessons, in addition to cross-country ski and snowshoe rental, and a well-stocked retail shop. This excellent facility also offers a fine clubhouse, with restaurant and lounge, meeting space, lockers and showers. Resting at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center, near the warmth of a comfortable fireplace, is a popular activity.
On Fox Lane, just off Route 103, the Okemo Valley Nordic Center is a wonderful complement to the Okemo Mountain Resort. Private and group lessons are available from the experienced staff. The center also recently expanded its rental and repair operation, with rental available for half-day, full-day or for the duration of your stay.
As if that weren't enough, the Okemo Valley Nordic Center also has a fine indoor golf training center, with a huge practice putting green. The golf center features a virtual golf simulator as well.
The Okemo Valley Nordic Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
