VAULT not only provides part of the unusual name, it is also the foundation for the gallery's mission in the community and the region. VAULT stands for Visual Art Using Local Talent. With that in mind the staff and volunteers ensure that the gallery is an "educational resource" by offering guest speakers, workshops and other events.
Key to Gallery at the VAULT success is the presentation of only original, handcrafted local/regional work. The gallery also requires that this work be juried prior to inclusion in the exhibits or gift shop. This focus helps maintain the gallery mission of encouraging local artists and diversity in the creative arts.
Located at 68 Main Street in Springfield, Vermont, Gallery at the VAULT features art and handcrafted items from more than 100 artists who call the region home. The gallery is actually a project of a small, not-for-profit organization that looks to donations and gifts to help continue the mission.
