Located at 102 Main Street in Grafton (near the historic town of Ludlow) Early River Gallery is housed in a wonderful 1840s Federal style home. This great setting, with antique furnishings and Victorian-era lighting will please the most discriminating tourist, art buyer and art lover.
In addition to the excellent display of antiques and fine art, Early River Gallery offers custom framing, and magnificent limited edition prints. An artist-owned gallery, the wonderful home has two guest rooms furnished with choice antiques. This allows the business to offer the additional opportunity of bed and breakfast.
One of the fine artists featured at Early River Gallery is Fred Swan, who brings a passionate love of rural America to his work. With attention to detail, Swan's paintings feature such icons of the American past as an antique truck or a unique Vermont outdoor view. Those who enjoy and collect Swan's work are pleased to known that he works every day in his studio after retiring from teaching in 2000. His work is in many public and private collections, including the estate of Malcolm Forbes.
