The company has been operating for over 25 years and during that time has flown over 3,500 flights. It is the first professional balloon team in the state and the pilots Gary and Ken Lovell have both made balloon record attempts, and currently hold the record for crossing America. They have also collaborated on the building of the largest balloon in the world, and flown over Mount Washington in winter.
The balloon flights take around 3 hours in total with about 1 hour in the air. Your pilot and guide will be fully licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration, and the balloon team will take participants to the balloon take-off site. Following the flight you will be served a continental breakfast and glass of champagne to celebrate.
The best time for flights is either sunset or sunrise, when the wind are calmer, and the colors of the world below are at their most spectacular. Flights are weather-dependent and its advisable to wear strong footwear and wrap up warm — it can be cold up there!
