Pat's Steak House in Louisville, KY

This veritable local landmark is the place for a great steak and most anyone you ask in Louisville, Kentucky lead you to it if you ask. Pat's Steak House has a wonderful old-time atmosphere with its cozy nooks, wood paneling and easy location in a lovely tree-lined suburb of Louisville. It's the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or have a romantic dinner. While you won't need a reservation during the weekdays, the weekends are another matter. During your wait for a table, mosey on up to the bar and experience a bit of the local culture.

There are no pretensions here at Pat's Steak House and the owner often chats up the customers too. The steaks are hand cut to perfection and cooked to your specifications and salads and side dishes are a part of the meal, not ala carte. Many people love the salads because of the homemade bleu cheese dressing or even the homemade thousand island variety. Of course, you can also get seafood, pork chops, ham, burgers and meatloaf. And be sure to save some room for dessert!

The hours are rather convenient except for the fact that Pat's Steak House is closed on Sundays. Otherwise, you can find yourself a table there Monday through Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Please note to bring cash to pay for all the delicious eats at Pat's as they do not accept credit cards or checks. For your convenience, they do have an ATM on the premises.
