The Louisville Ballet in Louisville, Kentucky teaches children how to perform and become professional dancers. The children are able to perform in recitals as well as perform in Ballet Youth Ensemble if they pass the audition. They do have yearly classes offered for both girls and boys. The ballet does offer many opportunities to children who start young and continue their dance training. They can go on to compete and perform live in front of audiences around the country.
The Louisville Ballet offers three different classes, which include the pre-professional, primary, elementary, and the open division. For those students who are serious about dance can take the pre-professional and intermediate classes. The elementary and primary class offers kinetic knowledge as well as musical awareness and they learn to develop coordination. The open division is for students interested in dance, but will not fit into the other class divisions until they receive further training.
The open division also teaches jazz and taps for those interested in individual interests or in combination with the ballet dance routine. Adults and teens fifteen or older can start in the open division in the adult training class. The Dance Access 1 and 2 is for young children entering the world of dance. The Louisville Ballet teaches students to become professional dancers and move on to more professional trainers and become prima ballerinas.
The school also has summer camps that children can participate in as well. There are many opportunities for children to take dance and learn while moving their way to the top.
