Kentucky Bourbon Festival near Louisville, KY

The Kentucky Bourbon Festival is held outside of Louisville Kentucky and celebrates Bourbon in the Bourbon Capital of the World. During this 5 day festival you get to sample smooth Bourbon, delicious food, and great entertainment. There are black tie galas and historical tours. This festival brings about 55,000 people from around the United States and the world to the area. There are food vendors, cooking demonstrations, a hot air balloon festival, breakfasts and art exhibits. You can participate in a 5 k run, visit museums on the history of Bourbon, watch a bourbon barrel race, or go to a car show. Don???t forget to learn how to make a barrel while you are there. You can also go on a ghost hunting tour lead by Patti Starr. For the kids there is a family area with inflatables, games and a train ride. The Louisville area is a great place to visit and has plenty of hotels and restaurants to round out your stay in the Derby City.
