Comprised of 163 buildings on sprawling grounds, UCLA has the largest enrollment in the state and offers a massive selection of undergraduate and graduate programs, including arts, humanities, social sciences, law, business, physical and life sciences, engineering, psychology, and mathematics. Particularly known for its health-related programs, the University also contains the UCLA Medical Center and schools of medicine, nursing, and dentistry.
Athletics are as big a deal as academics at UCLA, and their Bruins sports teams have won many national championships. Visitors are welcome at the public areas and events on campus, and UCLA has plenty to explore from museums, lectures, dance, film, theater, and music to student-run charity events and concerts. The campus also maintains three impressive gardens that should not be missed: a gorgeous Japanese garden, a peaceful sculpture garden, and the impressive botanical garden. The University also offers tours of their campuses and facilities.
