Television and radio fans should not miss the marvelous collection of programs at the Paley Center for Media. Formerly known as The Museum of Television & Radio, the Paley Center offers over 140,000 programs spanning every genre, including comedy, drama, news, performing arts, sports, reality, animation, and advertising.
One of the most amusing and fascinating ways to spend an afternoon, visitors can simply choose a program from the collection and watch or listen to it at an individual console. Several screening rooms present continuous daily presentations of different subjects, from international commercials to the works of Jim Henson to classic clips of I Love Lucy, while the Media as Lens series presents panel discussions on various industry topics. Visitors can also take a guided tour in which the history and collections of the Center are explored.
