Hop aboard the illustrious Queen Mary for an annual international event — the Long Beach International Film Festival. For many years, now, this International Festival has been delighting attendants and critics alight with what it has to offer. Not only do you get to stroll on board the luxurious Queen Mary, currently docked in Long Beach Harbor, but you can also take part in all or some of the events that surround and comprise the Film Festival. These range from diners to screenings.
Perhaps you will want to start by attending the Opening Night Party. This is where the stars, directors and producers come out to play. If they are not here, perhaps you can catch them at any of the Awards' Ceremony or Wards' Gala Dinner, honoring members of the film world. If this does not interest you, move on to the main event - the actual films. They are from all over the world. Since some are debuting at the Long Beach International Film Festival, it is your chance to take part in a premier.
Besides the competitions in the categories of film and screenplay, the Long Beach International Film Festival also hosts seminars and panel discussions. Take part in events that allow you to discover secrets or little known facts about films and those who make them. Many of the seminars follow specific themes, so be sure to check out in advance what the Festival is offering.
The Festival is also child friendly. You can take them to programs designed for them. It will help them explore their creative capabilities and allow you to enjoy other aspects of this festival.
