This is a five man ensemble that hails from New Orleans that has released more than six album, featuring music that has a unique style with both a funk vibe. When the band first began, they were more of an instrumental type group that followed in the footsteps of the JB's and Booker T and the MG's. However, over the years the group has experimented a lot with different sounds, something that is very apparent in their latest album, From the Corner Block, that has a funky vibe with some hip hop flair as it is filled with hip hop MC's that will be sure to get you grooving in your seat in no time at all. The band's members include bassist Robert Mercurio, keyboardist Richard Vogel, drummer Stanton Moore, saxophonist/harmonica player Ben Ellman, and guitarist Jeff Raines.
