Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition at CalTech

This is a competition that was first started in 1947 that was actually a place where young professional music players auditioned to be a part of the Coleman Chamber Ensemble itself. Over the years though, this event has grown and is now an all out competition that now features some of the most talented young ensembles from throughout the California area and beyond. Performers come from throughout the major music schools in not only the country to compete in this event, but the world and most of them are an average of 26 years old. And, many past winners are now well known chamber artists including the Cavani, Nathaniel Rosen, the Ahn Trio, and many, many others.
