Sea World is home to sea lions, polar bears, beluga whales and more. While there, visit exhibits like the Shamu Adventure, where you'll get up close and personal with the world-famous Shamu.   • Santa Monica Bay. When looking to spend the day outdoors, Santa Monica Bay offers you the perfect location for outdoor activities. The 50 miles of coastline and 22 public beaches offer a wealth of outdoor opportunities. You can spend all day biking on the 22 mile beachside bike path or enjoy hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and boating are other outdoor activities you can enjoy throughout the day. Take a mid-day break and have an outdoor picnic and relax after your meal by watching the wildlife that makes the area their home.

  • Universal Studios Hollywood. This is the world's largest studio and theme park. Here you can get an inside look at the sets and tour behind the scenes of some of your favorite movies. Then experience the breathtaking special effects of the studio tour and get transported into another world. While you're there, you have to check out the new Shrek 4-D attraction. It's an event you will never forget.

 

  • Manns Chinese Theatre. Located in Los Angeles, this is the most famous theatre in the world. Resembling a Chinese pagoda, the theatre has a Chinese dragon winding its way across the front and two dogs guarding the entrance. Take a walk through the theatre and see the footprints of the stars and learn about the history of the theatre and all of the premiers that have been shown there.

 

  • Sunset Strip. Sunset Strip is one of the most famous places in the country. The strip is located on the section of Sunset Boulevard between Hollywood and Beverly Hills. There you will find the best-known rock clubs, restaurants, and shops. As you walk down Sunset Strip you'll see familiar names like The Laugh Factory, Virgin Megastore, Chateau Marmont, The Argyle, Thunder Roadhouse Caf', House of Blues, The Sky Bar, Tower Records, the Viper Room, The Whisky, and The Roxy. You may even catch a glimpse of some celebrities.

 

  • Rodeo Drive. Welcome to the most upscale shopping district in the country. Everyone who's anyone has shopped here, and stars frequent the stores located along this elite path. This is one place the budget conscious dare not shop. The stretch is three blocks long and houses boutiques and shops of some of the most expensive designers in the world. You'll find names like Armani, Gucci, Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and more. The jewel of Rodeo Drive is Bijan. It is the most expensive store in the world, and you have to make an appointment to shop there. You'll pay at least $50 for a pair of socks and a suit will set you back approximately $15,000. How much does the average customer spend on a day at Bijan? Try to the tune of $100,000. Rodeo Drive is also home to the most expensive restaurant in Southern California. Ginza Sushi Co is a 10-seat sushi bar and the food is flown in directly from Tokyo. The cost for such a delicacy? Approximately $200 per person.
