Los Angeles, CA Restaurant Options

There's no other place on earth that's quite like Los Angeles. From the upper-crust, socialite shopping of Rodeo Drive to the trendy Sunset Strip, this area is home to diverse cultures and communities. Just as diverse are the dining venues to be found in the area. From the beauty of oceanfront restaurants to a $200-a-serving sushi bar, the variety of menus in the Los Angeles area can be overwhelming. Knowing where to go for what can be a great help, so we've highlighted some of the different hot spots below.

The Standard of Los Angeles Dining
You can't visit the Los Angeles area without a trip to Spago, one of the world's most famous restaurants. Located right on the Sunset Strip, Spago is a favorite of some of the local celebrities and it's very possible you'll spot one or two while you're there. The menu offers the most delectable of delicacies, including oysters mignonette, Mandarin quail and more.

Oceanfront Dining in Los Angeles
Duke's is one of the few oceanfront restaurants in the Los Angeles area, and its Hawaiian atmosphere, that is enhanced by both surfboards and surfers, is both fun and relaxing. Whether you're in the mood for tacos and nachos or a prime cut of steak, Duke's has a menu item that can satisfy every craving. If you're in the area on Sunday, make sure you stop by for Duke's famous Sunday Brunch.

When Only the Best Will Do
If you're in the mood for the best Sushi to be had anywhere, and your pocketbook can spare the expense, you're going to want to make reservations at Ginza Sushi Co. This 10-seat sushi bar is often frequented by the rich and famous and is well-known for its fresh, delicious sushi that is flown in directly from Tokyo. While this restaurant offers a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, it's not for the budget conscious. At $200 per person, it's quite a delicacy.

A Little Bit Naughty
If you're in the Los Angeles for a romantic getaway for two and you're in the mood for something a little different, you might want to stop by Nirvana. No, it's not named after the rock band, it's a themed restaurant. Kama Sutra themed, to be exact. From the canopy beds to the statues of Buddha, you'll realize this isn't a typical restaurant the moment you walk through the door. The sensual atmosphere is enhanced by the sensational dishes that are featured on the menu, such as wild boar chops, tandoori paneer, and kebabs. It's not like any restaurant you've ever seen.

So whether you're traveling with your family or traveling alone with that special someone, the Los Angeles area won't disappoint you with the selection of dining venues available to choose from. When you dine at these restaurants, you won't only be looking for the stars, but you'll feel like one.
