LEGOLAND Fun and ExcitementWho didn't love LEGO's when they were kids? If you have kids, chances are you still get to enjoy these wonderful creations. If you are taking a trip to San Diego, you simply cannot afford to miss Legoland. This unique park offers you an amazing opportunity, whether you are young or young in spirit. Legoland is easily accessed from San Diego, so there's simply no excuse not to visit. Legoland is a large complex that is broken up into eight separate sections. Each section offers something different for your enjoyment. The Beginning: This is where you will find all the shops and the restaurant. It is located immediately inside the entrance to the park. Dino Island: A newer section of the park, this area features a Dino dig at the "Dig Those Dinos" attractions, additionally, there is a mini roller coaster that soars and dips around huge Lego models of dinosaurs. Explorer Village: Watch out, you'll get wet! This area features interactive water activities and fun. The Fairy Tale Brook is a fun water ride with a boat; visitors gently float down a river lined with Lego models of fairy tale creatures. With a playground, pizza parlor and Safari Trek, this is one of the most popular areas of the park. Fun Town: Drive electric Lego cars! There are two separate tracks, one for kids 3-5, the other for kids 6-13. This is a closed course for added safety. You can also visit Skipper School and pilot Lego boats around the water. This area also offers a tour of a Lego factory to learn how real Lego's are made. It also offers an adventure quest to save Johnny Thunder. Knights Kingdom: Experience the thrill of combat! With the Dragon rollercoaster, the Knights Joust and an enormous multilevel wooden play area, this is a great part of Legoland. There is also a miniature golf course and a robotic arm ride that allows visitors to be the sword. Miniland USA: You will find replicas of seven areas found within the US, constructed with over 20 million Lego's. You can find replicas of New York City, Washington DC, San Francisco, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Southern California and the Daytona Speedway. Also found in this area is the Model Shop, where visitors can watch Lego's Master Builders create new Lego models. The Imagination Zone: Ride the Technic Test Track, watch a 4-D movie and race Lego cars that you build yourself! This is a very popular section of the park, due to the fact that the cars are built by the children. Pirate Shores: This is another very popular section of the park. With 5 rides to enjoy, you should definitely bring some dry clothing. This area features many water rides that will drench unsuspecting visitors with hundreds of gallons of water. There has also been an announcement that a new Egyptian themed area will be opening in the near future. This area will also offer more rides and many other new things to see and experience. |
