The year 1906 marked the grand opening of our historic hotel at One Fremont Street - as well as the drama of the great San Francisco earthquake. Our hotel has hosted assorted adventurers since the earliest days of Las Vegas. Established in 1906, the Golden Gate is proud to be Las Vegas' most historic hotel/casino and the smallest hotel on Fremont Street, with only 106 rooms.

The Golden Gate introduced shrimp cocktail to the Las Vegas casino scene in 1959, and we've served over 25 million since! This Las Vegas tradition features lots of ocean shrimp in an old-fashioned "tulip" sundae glass, served with our own secret cocktail sauce and a wedge of lemon.
