In the Master's Hands: Picasso's Ceramics at the Bellagio Fine Art Gallery, Las Vegas, NV

In 2007, the Bellagio Fine Art Gallery at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada hosted an exhibition of Picasso's ceramic works entitled "In the Master's Hands: Picasso's Ceramics." Although Picasso is not well-known for being a sculptor, he produced literally hundreds of ceramic sculptures in his later years. Though they were first dismissed by the art world in the 1950s, these pieces are now seen as a way to gain even deeper insight into Picasso's themes, interests, and artistic strengths.

Though the Picasso show is no longer open, the Bellagio Fine Art Gallery continues to host rotating exhibits of world-class art. These spectacular displays are a must-see when staying at the Bellagio or on the Strip. Many of the exhibits at the gallery tour at other museums as well, but a handful come from private collections and are exclusive to the Bellagio gallery. There is a small admission fee for exhibits, or an unlimited-admission annual pass for to can be purchased for about $50. Please contact the Bellagio directly for information on current and future exhibits.
