Closer, paintings by Joy Wilson at the Rosemary's Restaurant in Las Vegas, NV

From August to October 2007, Rosemary's Restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada, exhibited a show of artist Joy Wilson's paintings called "Closer." Wilson, an oil painter, said that "Closer" was a collection of works that explored her thoughts on disconnection, loss, and impermanence. The poignant show impressed many Rosemary's patrons with its ideas about life's search for beauty and the fact that everything eventually disappears or dies.

Though Joy Wilson's work is no longer being shown at Rosemary's, the restaurant continues to support local artists by hosting temporary rotating art exhibits. The restaurant itself is known as one of Las Vegas's best places to eat. The carefully selected and perfectly prepared dishes and the down to earth atmosphere of Rosemary's make it a nice escape from the glitz of the Strip. The dishes have a French and American Southern theme, the result being high-end food with a down-home twist. Please contact Rosemary's directly for information about current artists they may be hosting.
