Phantom - Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas has been known as The Entertainment Capital of the World for most of its life, at least ever since gambling came to town in 1931. However, Las Vegas is not the gambling capital of the world—its name is associated with entertainment and there is a great deal of entertainment in the city that is appropriate for all ages. In order for a show to make it in Vegas the production must prove itself in other venues. Therefore, expect only the most successful, the most hilarious and the most heart-stopping shows to appear live in Vegas. The City of Lights hosts many shows a year and a few shows in particular have made Vegas headlines with positive word of mouth. These are definitely Las Vegas Shows not to miss!

Phantom in Las Vegas, NV

Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera is universally recognized as one of the most popular Broadway musicals of all time. Its live show is an eerie combination of beautiful melody, dramatic special effects and a timeless love story—cracked with a demented horror story. Andrew Lloyd Webber has personally overseen the redesign of the Vegas Phantom show, reducing it to a comfortable 95 minutes without removing any songs or famous moments in the story. Additionally, the production has been updated since its 1986 debut to include modern visual and aural effects to enhance the show. Best of all, the theater has been custom built to place the audience directly inside the Paris Opera House, subjected to Phantom's evil ways up close and personal.

Spamalot in Las Vegas, NV

Other memorable shows include Monty Python's Spamalot, the successful Broadway interpretation of the legendary British comedy series. This stage production is based on the cult movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", though it updates the script generously with new input from Python alumni Eric Idle.

Jubilee! in Las Vegas, NV

Another show worth mentioning is Jubilee!, a critically acclaimed show that is a throwback to the Las Vegas of Old, along with its beautiful showgirls and maddening glitz and glamour. The show contains 74 beautiful showgirls that dance among rapidly changing sets and some fantastic visual effects.

La Reve in Las Vegas, NV

La Reve is another popular show though it is unlike any traditional Broadway show you have ever seen. The show is a mix of athletic performance, live music, stunning dance numbers and underwater acrobatics. The show is actually set in a one million-gallon water theater, which is sure to transport the audience to a magical world. If you're thinking this sounds like Cirque du Soleil, you're right!  Franco Dragone, created the production, and he is also the creative visionary that was behind many Cirque performances.

Other Shows in Las Vegas, NV

Other notable shows include: A Musical Tribute to Liberace, the Blue Man Group, Mamma Mia! Mel Brooks' The Producers and Tony & Tina's Wedding. Ticket prices can vary according to production, but are generally from $20.00 to $150.00.  It's cheaper than Broadway and much more exciting, so make your plans to sample all of these red-hot shows. Las Vegas will always be known for its live entertainment, but these shows will not always be Vegas residents. Catch these stars while you can in the City of Lights.

Blue Man Group - Las Vegas, NV
They had us listed for an earlier show (4:30) than our paperwork showed, but changed to the 7:00 show without a problem.

A Musical Tribute To Liberace
Very enjoyable, talented guy who plays the Liberace music. Nice, small venue so it is great to see up close!
