Las Vegas Lodging Away from the Strip

The Strip is without a doubt the main attraction in Las Vegas; however, many visitors find that it may not be the best place to stay during their time there. If you are looking for something a bit quieter and more in tune with relaxation, you may wish to consider some of the many accommodation options off the Strip that offer a pace that is slightly slower than the Strip while still providing easy access.

East of the Strip

The area designated as east of the Strip is known as the main business and commercial district in Las Vegas. Paradise Road is the main artery of the district with Hughes Towers and the Las Vegas Convention Center serving as two of the most popular sites in the area. Several hotels are located in the area including the following.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino - A deluxe hotel that is located just two short blocks east of Strip.

Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino - Provides convenient access to the Strip, Caesars Forum Shops and several casinos.

North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas lies north of Fremont Street in the downtown district. This area is mainly residential and includes two commercial routes; I-15 which leads to the northeast and Business Route 95, leading northwest. Visitors will find a variety of accommodation options ranging from luxury casino resorts to affordable motels.

Emerald Suites Nellis - For close proximity to Nellis AFB this is a great location that offers affordable prices and is also quiet close to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Suncoast Hotel and Casino - situated right in the heart of Summerlin, this hotel sports a 10-story tower and 440 comfortable rooms.

Lakes Area

The lakes area brings together the best of everything that lies outside Las Vegas including Hoover Dam and Lake Meade.

Loews Lake Las Vegas - Situated on the largest privately owned lake in the entire state, this hotel offers luxury and tranquility that is incomparable.

Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas - As one might expect, this plush Mediterranean style resort is luxury and elegance at its best.

Las Vegas West

Although not nearly as populated as other areas in town, Las Vegas West offers its own unique brand of character.

The Rio Suite Hotel - A deluxe casino resort with a Brazilian theme located less than one mile from the Strip. This is the only all-suite hotel in the entire city. Each suite offers more than 600 square feet and includes a wide array of amenities as well as fabulous views of the city and the Strip.

The Palms - One of the newest hotels in the area, constructed at a cost of $265 million. 447 oversized guest rooms and suites are offered, many of which actually offer fabulous views of the Strip.

Fremont Street-Downtown Area

Downtown Las Vegas is like no other downtown anywhere in the country. With a visit here, you will be treated to one of the most unique sights in the entire city, the Fremont Street Experience.

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino - A deluxe hotel that is actually a landmark on the Las Vegas scene. Situated right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, so guests have easy access to the Fremont Street Experience.

Four Queens Hotel and Casino - A comfortable multi-level hotel that is just perfect for tourists who want to be near the action but not right in it.
