Even when not staying at the Mirage, it is a major attraction that draws many travelers every day. Amazing restaurants, spas, salons, shopping, attractions, and of course a fantastic game floor can all be found at the Mirage. Here is a full guide to this amazing hotel, from the inside to out.
Dining
When the Mirage opened, they raised the standards for dining, and other resorts like Bally's and the Venetian soon followed suit. They pride themselves as being at the front lines of the gourmet scene, with a wide selection of restaurants to please any palate.
Japonais: For special occasions a traveler could do no better than a visit here. This fine mixture of innovative chefs and an internationally acclaimed designer is jaw-dropping to say the least.
Onda: If a fine dining experience is needed with a bit of the Italian flair, then a traveler will enjoy the rustic cuisine offered here. Many times over this one has been voted "Best Italian Restaurant", and with the Venetian close by you can even visit a piece of Italy afterwards.
Samba: I'd say Brazillian style barbecue was the highlight of this restaurant, but in all honesty, having it in unlimited portions takes the cake. Dinner begins at 5:00pm, so come early and stay late.
Spa & Salon
Take a getaway to Las Vegas and really get away from it all with a relaxing journey at their award-winning spa & salon. Face and body treatments, as well as hydrotherapy, are all offered at the spa. Afterwards, treat yourself to the total attention and professional care of the expert staff at the salon. Complimentary espresso is also offered at the salon.
Cirque du Soleil
Currently, the world-renowned performers of Cirque du Soleil are at the Mirage, and performing their newest show "Love". This tribute to The Beatles mixed with the amazing performances of these skilled jugglers and acrobats is one of the most vivid and powerful entertainment experiences in the world.
Volcano
One of the most notable features about Mirage is, without a doubt, the volcano. WET Design, who has done the fountains outside of Bellagio among others, built this fantastic fountain outside of Mirage. Flames are also shot into the air, which raises the problem of the smell of burning gas. The design team solved this problem by actively pumping the scent of a pina colada through the surrounding air. It's amazing.
