Sugar Bowl is well noted for both its history in the region (such as being the first ski resort in California to feature chair lifts) and its inclusion of trails that are sure to challenge even the most advanced of skiers. In total, Sugar Bowl covers 1,500 acres with 84 different runs featured on-site. Of the featured runs, guests will find 17% are of beginner level, 45% medium and 38% considered advanced. Additionally, extreme winter sports enthusiasts will find a terrain park on-site for a varied ski experience.
