At DL Bliss State Park in Tahoe City in California, you can see Lake Tahoe. The park is named after D.L. Bliss who was a banker, railroad owner and lumberman. In 1929, the family gave the seven hundred and forty-four areas to the park system. The park has a campground for seasonal camping. It is usually open in May and closes in late September. The trails in the park are great for hiking. The Balancing Rock formation is historical as many people find themselves standing in front of it for picture taking. The experts have expressed concern about the formation because there is a big crack by the waist of the formation. The formation rests on the rocks below and will eventually fall when the rocks underneath slowly break away.
