Take a ride on an historic railroad. The Virginia & Truckee railroad was built to preserve a piece of history. The railroads built to service the Comstock Lode communities were dismantled and sold, but the stretch from Virginia City to Gold Hill was rebuilt and provides educational and scenic excursions. The Delta Saloon is a page out of a western movie. The experience begins before you even enter as the entrance is one of spectacular wooden doors with transoms and frosted glass. The antiques and relics surround you inside the saloon that is home to the famous 'suicide table.'
