If you're looking for a run a relaxing place to hide away and relax, and who isn't, Lake Placid Pub & Brewery in Lake Placid, NY is the perfect place. Let's not forget that it's near Mirror Lake, which is only going to add to the beautiful scenic location. It's also very close to the downtown area of Lake Placid.
Among the many other things they're known for, the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery is famous for their award-winning lagers and ales, both of which are fresh and microbrewed. If you've never tried them, you don't know what you are missing. They are delicious and typically the beverage you will get with your dinner or lunch. They do, however, have six hand-crafted beers on tap at all times, so you may have a hard time making a choice.
Your lunch selections are the signature sandwiches they're so known for, their jambalaya, nachos, fish & chips or burgers. Their dinner specials are a little more fancy and elaborate. Penne Pizzolli and Smothered Steak are two of their very popular dinners. Their menu also has children's specials. If you're not a beer drinker, you will be when you feast your lips on their out-of-this-world beer! Many people love their beverage so much; they take a six-pack home with them for later in the evening when they're relaxing over television. Sample their Frostbite, Moose Island Ale or the Daystar Dunkelweizen, all three of which are favorites of the patrons. President Clinton enjoyed the English Strong Ale when he visited and had some delivered to his home upon his return.
The Lake Placid Pub & Brewery has two floors. The top floor, which is nonsmoking, have a bar and restaurant with a beautiful stone fireplace. Sit back in front of the fire or shoot some pool, the choice is yours. The top floor closes at midnight.
The downstairs is where all the locals stay to enjoy the true Irish brew while they play pool, shoot some darts or play table soccer. The downstairs doesn't close until 3 a.m. and is open seven days a week.
