Bowl Winkles in Lake Placid, NY is a funny little place located on Main Street not too far from the action of the town. The locals wish it was their secret but the tourists find it and seem to love the place too. This interesting bowling place is a great way for people to relax after they have had a full day of skiing and exploring at Whiteface or just a day about town shopping for souvenirs.

As the name implies, there are bowling lanes here; however, there are only eight of them. While some people do come to bowl out their frustrations of the day, other people come to just hang out with friends. It's a casual laid back atmosphere where you can order a drink or two and even a bit of food.  Casual bar drinks can be ordered as well as American food that is easy and no nonsense. Therefore, you could grab a beer and a plate of nachos with friends and watch the bowlers.

They may only have just the eight lanes, however Bowl Winkles still has excellent facilities as well as the proper equipment to rent to you during your visit. This establishment also has quite a few arcade games to choose from which add to the whole "hanging out with friends" theme.

While they do serve drinks here at Bowl Winkles, minors are definitely allowed and have special items to order just for them. In fact, kids like the place because it is smaller and there is not as much noise as with a place that may have 20 lanes. Above all, it is a great way to unwind during your stay at Lake Placid.
