Grubstake Pizza prides itself in the foundation of their pizzas. Their crusts have been developed and perfected over a number of years. The owners did some research and found that 47% of British Columbians preferred whole wheat, 36% preferred white, and the rest didn't care. So in keeping with what the population wants, Grubstake Pizzas are made predominantly out of white flour with a touch of whole wheat. The whole wheat provides some dietary fiber and a bit of crunch.
Pizzas are baked in a clay line gas fired pizza oven. The tomato sauce is homemade from crushed pear shaped tomatoes. The cheeses used on the pizzas are a mix.
