Students of the College will benefit from the smaller sized classes which are designed to enhance personalized instruction. The institution also ensures the use of the latest technology and provides a team of eminent and dedicated staff to make the learning experience here, truly one-of-a-kind. The College provides instruction to nearly 18,000 full time equivalent students, of whom more than 100 are of international dominion from over 20 countries. The courses are structured to provide students with all the knowledge they will need to embark on a new career, hone their skills with a new trade or even enhance their current levels of education. Students can enroll for full time and part time courses which include several vocational programs, training in trades and technical skills. Students can even avail of the college's online classes if they are unable to be physically present to attend lectures.
The Kimberley Campus of the College of the Rockies offers a 5 day Introduction to Timber Framing Program which introduces participants to the craft of timber framing and can even be applied by experienced woodworkers to enhance their use of traditional tools and specialized power equipment. The method of framing which is taught during this program is stronger than the conventional methods and uses only traditional techniques to produce impressive results with minimal investment.
The 3 week long Nature Building School Program allows participants to learn how to create buildings and living spaces which are aesthetic, natural and sustainable. Students can either register for the 3 week program or choose from any one of the four modules which include Natural Building Design, Post and Beam for Natural Infills, Straw Bale Construction and Natural Building Components or even sign up for a one-day workshop.
The Kimberly Campus boasts of a state of the art computer lab which allows students to avail of free computer access, high speed internet and basic training in computers. The lab also allows non members to avail of the public computers to surf the Internet.
The Campus also includes an Athletics and Recreation Department which offers various activities like a Climbing Wall and Disc Golf Course, where students can rent equipment at subsidized rates.
