Pico Mountain in Killington, VT is one of the most exciting slopes for skiing that you will see. It goes vertically for 2,000 feet as well as having some unique terrain that doesn't get much traffic, so you shouldn't be bothered. There are also 48 different trails. Unfortunately for the travelers, Pico is only open days a week starting Mondays and are open through Thursdays. They average about 250 inches of snow each year. If it doesn't come naturally, they'll kick it out with their machines. The skiers don't mind how they get it, as long as there's snow for their sports.

Pico Mountain is walking distance to Pico Mountain Resort and Hotel where you can find almost any amenity you need. Their resort provides childcare for any children from 6 weeks of age to 6 years. They also provide the Pico Health Club, where you will enjoy their indoor pool, which is not only an Olympic sized pool, but is heated. Once you step into the warm water, you may forget all about getting back out on the slopes. Other highlights of the health club are the sauna, whirlpool and full-loaded exercise room. Seeing that you are walking distance from the slopes, you can work out to get in shape and then walk to the slopes.
