Quality Hill Playhouse in Kansas City, Mo
When it comes to going to musical theatre, there are many different choices to choose from while visiting Kansas City, Missouri; however, one of the most known theatres is the Quality Hill Playhouse; which has been open for 13 seasons. Also, it is known for being the theatre with the most intimacy.
Not only is the Quality Hill Playhouse a theatre, but it is much more than that! In fact, each year the Quality Hill Playhouse has six different musicals as well as having cabaret revues. The only downfall of the Quality Hill Playhouse is that it only has 153 seats; which does not bring in that many people. However, on the good side, all the shows are completely sold out!
While going to the Quality Hill Playhouse, you will get to see J. Kent Barnhart (who is the emcee and pianist for the revues) as well as all the professional singers (Amy Coady, Victoria Botero and Brandon Sollenberger). As for the length of the show, they usually last anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours; however, they usually have an intermission of fifteen minutes in between.
When it comes to going to the theatre, there's not much you have to do differently. By that, there is no dress code; however, most people wear business yet casual attire. In fact, jeans and shorts are not appropriate for the theatre. Despite of what many people think, the Quality Hill Playhouse is a theatre where kids are accepted; however, 6 years and under are not allowed.
As for purchasing tickets for the show, it is best to purchase them ahead of time; however, you can purchase them an hour ahead of time at the door. Also, you can reserve tickets as well; however, they must be paid for when reserving them; as tickets sell rather quickly!
No matter what you see at the Quality Hill Playhouse, you will be sure to have a great time! In fact, usually going to the theatre once is never enough; as most people come back...repeatedly!
