Marlborough Community Center in Kansas City, Mo is a large building for quality events. Its name says it all in "community center" as it truly is a center for the community to get together and participate in games, activities and social gatherings. The Marlborough Community Center is the site of many fall and winter sporting events. Some of the events available are boy's basketball, girl's basketball, cheerleading, karate, adult aerobics and a senior's get-together. The center is closed on Sunday, but it's open every other day with specific hours that meet the needs of the community.
The Marlborough Community Center is very proud of their great fitness center. Today more people are fitness conscious and are becoming more involved with physical activities, exercise and working out. The fitness center gives the community a place to go to work out as well as see people they know. They offer a membership to the fitness center or you can pay as you go, which is what many choose to do until they are sure they are continuing with the program.
They offer different programs at the Marlborough Community Center for youths as well as for adults and seniors. Some of the youth programs are preschool play area, girl talk, multimedia art class and after school program. Adult programs they offer are adult drawing & sketching, GED class, adult and senior oil painting, senior and open ball. Different parts of the community center are available for individuals and groups to rent. The kitchen, gymnasium, game room and meeting room are each rented out individually. They can be rented during business hours or after hours.
