Whether people know it or not, the Kansas City Symphony is one of the most viewed attractions in Kansas City, Missouri.  Not only is the Kansas City Symphony well known in Kansas City, but also around the entire United States.

It was in 1982 that R. Crosby Kemper, Jr had discovered/brought together what is known as the Kansas City Symphony.  Because of the tight structure of the Symphony in the past, it is today one of the major forces in the cultural aspect of Kansas City, as well as around the nation.  Through the years, the symphony had also experienced great amounts of growth from its directors. 

Each year, the Kansas City Symphony stands to serve 1.8 million people; which is the metropolitan population.  In the orchestra, there are 80 full time musicians; who are all contributors to the artic life in Kansas City.  Out of a full year, they symphony performs forty-two weeks.

When it comes to the Kansas City Symphony and its budget, they are well balanced.  In fact, they went from a $1.5 million budget to over $9 million; however, they also bring in more than $20 million dollars.  Some of the different ways that money is made is by ticket sales and different cultural organizations.

Despite of what people know, the Symphony also has education activities, as well!  In fact, some of the activities are KinderKonzerts and also Young People's Concerts; which helps with high school students with their abilities.  There are also many other activities; in which altogether helps more than 18,000 people each year.   The Symphony also has an outreach program called Community Connections initiative; which helps another 8,000-10,000 people each year.

If you want to hear more about the type of music that is sung at the Kansas City Symphony, you may either go see them in person or you may purchase one of their CD's.  Either way, it is a good way to relax and enjoy yourself!
