Wyoming is known for having many stores and shops that carry unique Indian art work. Boyer's Indian Arts & Crafts in Jackson, WY continues to carry on the tradition. They have been around since the business was started by Dick and Skippy Boyer in 1962. It originally was a combination Indian jewelry store and fishing tackle store under the name of Rod and Reel Shop. It was located, at that time, in a building called the Old Frontier Saloon. After many customer requests and sales, they discovered the need for more Indian arts and crafts, so they turned it into an Indian store in 1972. It was designated to cover the entire Southwest region.
Skippy had the much-needed business experience, being the daughter of John Wort, the man who built the Wort Hotel. The store is now operated by John Boyer, the son of Skippy. Being a member of the Indian Art and Craft Association, Boyer's is run with the same excellent service they've been known for since their beginning so many years ago.
Boyer's Indian Arts & Crafts carries a full line of Indian arts and crafts. Being Wyoming's oldest store of this kind, you can expect to find many Navajo rugs, Indian jewelry, pottery, sandpaintings and much more. Although, Wyoming has seen the development of many more Indian arts & crafts stores, Boyer's continues to be a favorite, probably from the great reputation they've earned for quality merchandise, reasonable prices and excellent customer service.
Besides the typical Indian arts and crafts, you will also find some of the finest handmade Indian jewelry as well as collectibles you can't find elsewhere. Whether it's Cree slippers, drums, kachina dolls or Southwest pottery, you are not going to find a larger selection anywhere than what you'll find at Boyer's.
