This intense event and competition is a long-standing Jackson Hole tradition that features a four-event relay which includes alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, bicycling and boating. Contestants can choose to compete alone or in groups during this event that marks the end of the Jackson Hole ski season. The Pole, Pedal, Paddle begins at the resort with the 4,139 vertical foot super giant slalom for racing classes and the 3,500 giant slalom for all other classes.
The 10-kilometer cross country leg of the relay will take place over rolling terrain at the base of the resort, followed by a 19.8 mile bicycle course that goes through Teton Village to the South Park Bridge. The boating leg will feature nine miles of Class 1 & 2 grade waters on the Snake River from South Park Bridge to Snake River Canyon. After the event, Snake River Sporting Club will host an awards celebration featuring music, food, beverages, raffles including a kayak and bicycle giveaway, and, of course, great stories from the run!
