Located in the Ixtapa shopping plaza next to Sr.
Frog's (where it has been said it is the only place the clientele is encouraged to dance on the table) Kopados Bar is considered the coolest new bar in Ixtapa and one of the most unique bars out of all the entertainments in the area. Officially--it is a popular restaurant with a bar and disco in it, featuring a gigantic big screen TV in the upstairs bar and disco area.
Zihuatanejo has always been the getaway for the adventurous thrill-seekers ones who like some 'get-away' fun along with the beautiful people of the world, due to its ol' fashion charm of the Mexican culture. Originally a small fishing village with very few people, it is now one of the top places to go, and the Kopados Bar is just a small example of it. And with the tourist resort of Ixtapa right outside of Zihuatanejo, many fun-seeking guests flock to the small unique bar from both areas.
When the bar crowd gets too much and shopping is done, there are still other nearby attractions to enjoy in this well-populated area. For those who like sporting activities or sport fishing and fishing, that is well stocked with things to do and places to go, but for something a bit more extravagant, how about Taxco, famous for its wonderful colonial architecture and narrow cobbled street, or Acapulco which is Mexico's original tourist resort, Patzcuaro or Morelia. For those who enjoy cruises before heading into Kopados Bar in the late afternoon/early evening, there are many available along with special events in the area arranged by the locals for the enjoyment of the guests. Enjoy!
