Not all schools are held in stuffy classrooms with dusty old books. There are some schools held in the lap of paradise with beautiful beaches and where excitement comes with the crash of the surf. Instructional Surf Adventures, commonly abbreviated ISA, is a surfing clinic in Mexico near Ixtapa. The ISA provides a vacation that offers in-depth classes for aspiring surfers.
Riding the waves is an exhilarating experience often coveted by those that have never stood upon a surfboard. ISA gives those that have a strong desire to learn to do so in a safe environment with experienced instructors. Lodging is available for students of ISA with additional accommodations located a short distance from the beach. This is a week long program where several topics will be discussed and explored. In case you are unable to devote an entire week to ISA, there is a one day class. Upon arrival, guests will receive an orientation and a crash course in basic Spanish. Traveling anywhere in Mexico is made easier with a basic grasp of the language. The first full day in ISA will introduce students to the mechanics of surfing such as wave types and surfing lingo. The instructors will provide one on one attention since every guest will advance independently. ISA's instructors have years of experience with the area and with surfing. They are highly qualified having teaching experience and First Aid training. They understand the needs of beginners and easily accommodate for those needs.
ISA is located on Playa Troncones which is just a short drive from Ixtapa. Tourism is relatively new to the area and the beaches here are not crowded; providing a safe environment for beginning surfers. The waves here are ideal for the inexperienced. The beach is beautiful and the waters are clear.
