Traders Point Creamery near Indianapolis, IN is dairy business owned by a family in Zionsville, Indiana. They are described as an artisan dairy that makes dairy products, delivers them and sells them to their customers. They may have started as that, but have expanded into much more since their start in 2003. They have a huge herd of cattle consisting of from 60 to 90 Brown Swiss, which they milk each day on their two farms. They take pride in the fact that they do not use synthetic hormones, fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides on their land or their cows.
Traders Point Creamery makes cheese products including Fromage, Blanc, Fromage Blanc spicy, cottage cheese, a special signature raw milk natural rind aged cheese plus more. They also produce chocolate milk, yogurts and fresh creamline whole milk. The products produced are so high quality that their whole milk yogurt won first place at the American Cheese Society National Convention in 2005 and 2006. Since 2003, many of their products have won awards since their beginning.
Traders Point Creamery offers tours for school and large groups. They'll get a guided tour of the creamery and farm. The cost for these educational and interesting tours is only $3 each. Another of their great accomplishments is the Farmers Market they offer in the winter and summer. The summer market runs from May through October and the winter runs from November through April.
