The Medical History Museum in Indianapolis, IN is perhaps the oldest surviving facility of pathology in the entire country and is considered the birthing place of psychiatry as well as modern medicine. The building was the old pathology department on what was once the grounds of the Central State Hospital. Today, this building filled with the old ghosts of history is a nationally registered historic place.
