Boggstown Cabaret near Indianapolis, IN is a world famous theatre that offers you not only excellent food, but some of the best entertainment as well. Located 20 miles south of Indianapolis, Boggstown is a completely renovated theatre situated between Shelbyville and Greenwood, Indiana. They are very proud of their many made to order entrees such as hot crispy walleye, slow roasted beef pot roast, fried biscuits and much more. Boggstown is the only dinner theatre to offer this type of food. Their professional entertainment consists of both comedy and live music.
The Cabaret building, which was built in 1873, was Indiana's first "Red Man's Lodge". It originally was the Barber Shop and General Store in Boggstown. When they changed the atmosphere to include music and entertainment, the name of the place was Boggtown Inn and Cabaret. They opened up as a musical establishment in 1984. At the turn of the century, the cabaret gave many new musicians the opportunity to provide guests with some of their music compare notes and jokes and just have fun. They devoted a lot of the time to banjo, ragtime music and dual piano music.
In 1999, the Boggstown Cabaret came under new ownership and the atmosphere of the place changed as well, advancing into the new generation. The name and logo of the place was changed as well as some of the interior, giving it a more elaborate look. Today, the Boggstown Cabaret has something to keep every age group entertained, whether it's theatrical effects, costumes, live music, singing, dancing or just great dining.
