American Super Heroes Museum in Indianapolis, IN Most often when people think of a museum, they think of it as a learning experience or a place that only shows the history of something.& However, in Indianapolis, Indiana that has changed! By that, there is now a museum that specializes in American Super Heroes!
When it comes to the American Super Heroes Museum, it is relatively new. In fact, it just opened up recently; as they don't have everything fully organized yet. However, it is a very spectacular museum to go to!
When visiting the museum you will be able to many different artifacts; all which belong to some super hero. In fact, there are literally thousands of Batman and Superman artifacts; such as toys, puzzles, figurines, posters and also many different styles of collectibles. Along with seeing all the little artifacts, you will also be able to see the costumes that Kirk Alyn, Christopher Reeve, George Reeves and Dean Cain wore in the Superman movies.
Despite of what many people think (because of the museum being new), the admission price to get in the museum is exceptionally cheap. In fact, regular admission is $5; however, for seniors it is $3 and children under 8 are free. For larger groups, they also offer a group discount; $3 per person. Some of the groups that they offer discounts to are schools, birthday parties and youth groups.
Along with having the super heroes museum, inside the lobby there is actually a "Real American Heroes" display. In that display, there are several different artifacts that were from "real" heroes; such as those from the Indianapolis Police Department.
