Because of all the different types of wars and battles, Indianapolis, Indiana is known for taking care of keeping the memories alive for all those that have lost their lives. In fact, by doing that, the American Legion Mall comes in hand.
As many people are unaware, the American Legion Mall is one of several different buildings in a five block radius that represents all the great Hoosier men and women that lost their lives. In fact, the Legion Mall features a garden with cenotaph and four huge art deco columns that have gold eagles on the top of them. The cenotaph was added as a tribute to those that lived in Indiana that had lost their lives in World War I.
As for the construction and location of the American Legion Mall, it is located between Meridian Street and Pennsylvania Street, extending from North Street to St. Clair Street. When it comes to the construction of the building, it is known to be one of the finest buildings of its kind; which is made from an Indiana limestone. In fact, the American Legion Mall building is considered to be worth $2.5 million; as it is made from 2 four-story wings that are connected to the main entrances.
Inside of the American Legion Mall, you will come across many different offices. In fact, some of the offices that are in the mall are the National Commander, the National Adjutant (with the executive director, historical archives, finance operations and the library), the American Legion Magazine, Public Relational and also Document Processing among many other offices.
