The Canal Walk
The Canal Walk is located in White River State Park in Indianapolis and is currently quite a tourist hot spot. The Central Canal is renovated as a recreational area in the same style as the Venetian Canals. A limestone walkway and a breathtaking view of the downtown Indiana skyline, attractions, quaint little cafes and festival space can be seen form the Canal Walk.
The walk is scattered with gondolas and pedal boats and is perfect for those who would like to stroll casually with their kids or are looking for a good place to bike or run. Trails, grassy areas and waterways along with cultural, recreational and educational attractions offer something very interesting to each visitor.
The White River state park is home to the White River Gardens, Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, IMAX Theater, NCAA Hall of Champions, the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial and Victory Field.
