The Houston Museum also has the Wortham IMAX Theatre, the Burke Baker Plantation, as well as many permanent exhibits involving space science and astronomy, Native Americans, seashells, gems and minerals. If you're lucky, you'll be able to catch them when they are presenting many of their traveling exhibits, which they have on a variety of subjects. In the George Observatory, you'll see one of the country's largest telescopes. If you're into wild exotic creatures, the Woodlands Xploration Station has exhibits on exotic live insects, dinosaurs and mineralogy.
Some of the current exhibition the Houston Museum District is proud to present are and exhibition on the genius and inventor Leonardo da Vinci, an exhibition of Revealing Character; a highly-popular lecture entitled Beyone UFOs as well as an exhibit called Lucy's Legacy, which tells about the hidden treasures in Ethiopia.
