Bear Creek War Monument near Houston, TX is a beautiful touching monument designed to honor and pay tribute to those that gave up their lives for the freedom of their country. You will find a huge memorial that lists all the military personnel that lived in Harris County and died in the Korean War, Vietnam War, WWI, WWII and the Persian Gulf conflict. Every Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, they have a ceremony specifically to honor these service people. They are open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Although they have their ceremonies to honor the deceased, visitors are welcome to come here any time of the year. The place is well maintained and attracts many tourists that are interested in touring the grounds and viewing the large memorial tribute.
