Allen's Landing in Houston, TX

The city acquired the area back in 1966 as an effort to preserve the area was Houston was claimed back in 1836. Many describe the area as the city's very own "Plymouth Rock".

The port at the confluence of the White Oak and Buffalo bayous became the city's first. Redevelopment of the area was partially completed in 2001, and progress continues to add more pedestrian walkways and art.
