This once was the location of the Princess Theatre which was a vaudeville house from the 1880s. When a fire destroyed the home in 1935, Malco was created in replacement of the Princess Theatre. This happened in 1962 and in 1995 Maxwell Blade a renowned illusionist purchased the theatre to use for his magic shows.
After Maxwell Blade purchase of the theatre in 1995, Blade changed the name of Malco Theatre to Maxwell Blade Theatre of Magic. He now uses it as a place for his magic shows which attract many visitors each year. Besides the magic shows you can find the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute and some festivals hosted at this location.
